To relax the mind

What I did to relax my mind? Yesterday I could literally feel my hair standing due to the pressures in the office. So what did I do about it? I decided to just up and leave the chaos. I went some place that really made me forget work at least for the most part of the afternoon. I wanted to relax my mind. To rest my mind and let it be free to experience something totally different. I went to the center of civilization and immerse myself in the hustle and bustle of urbanites. Stressful for them but not for me as I am not exposed to that everyday. It was quite a treat for me having been cooped for weeks in the campus and nearby areas that have become so familiar and mundane. So at least I was able to see something different and that was relaxing. Of course I also spent some time in a bookstore! It was heaven for me to be surrounded with books. I succumbed to the temptation of buying 5...oooops only paid for 4 coz there was a promo. Buy 3 and get 1 free. Then another one I got for 80%. I told myself that this will be enough book buying for this year. Then I justified that if I have to buy 1 book per month, then I still have not reached my quota. Ha ha ha! What an expensive way to relax. Of course one of the books I bought was for my dear husband. Anyway I was kinda happy to have gone there yesterday!

Hi Carnation! Thanks for your sweet comment. I am a self-taught artist and have been selling on ebay for a couple of years now. I just recently started painting again and I love it. Your blogs are wonderful! I can't walk into a book store without leaving with a few too many items myself. :) Thanks again! Lisa
